When I Invite Him
Sometimes when all is calm�
As the stars sparkle up above�
In that peaceful quiet
I kneel in honored silence
Beneath� the bright moon light
There I take the Lords hands in mine
Asking Him to guide me� once more
Through another day�
Just like I have� so many times before
I can�t even begin to imagine
What my life� would be like
If I did not� have Him
Right here� by my side
I don�t think I would truly see
The loveliness of the rose�
And that amazing rainbow�
Would sadly seem
Not the Promise�
But just another cloud drifting above me
Without Him
I don�t think I would have,
Truly embraced those times�
When I held my babies so near
As I gazed upon their beautiful faces�
Those moments�
My heart holds forever dear
When I invite Him�
To share the days
And those moments with me
He opens my eyes� to the beauty
In the simplest and purest of things
Like the gentle wind�
That softly caresses my face
Or the butterfly upon the bloom
And as I witness these�
His love cradles my heart�
With the sweetest of all embraces
Because now I know�
When I share the day�
With the One I adore
I find that the birds�
Sing more beautiful
Than they ever did before
So tonight as we share a talk�
Just He and I
Beneath that moon lit glow�
I�ll praise my Lord�
Because He�s everything to me
And Oh, So much more!
