Have You Seen My Savior?

Have you seen my Savior?
I know I saw Him here;
He was lying in the manger,
Wrapped in swaddling clothes so dear.

I came to see the Baby,
Jesus Christ the King,
The Holy Child born here tonight,
His praise I want to sing.

I want to worship at His feet,
The true Messiah, He;
I've come to give Him all I have,
I've come to give Him me.

The angel said to follow
The brightest star of all,
And this is where it led me,
To this humble cattle stall.

And yet I cannot find Him,
I cannot see His face;
It seems a tree with presents
Is resting in His place.

There's tinsel, garland, music,
And people rushing by;
I thought they came to see Him, too,
Although I don't know why.

They all seem much too busy
With lights, and bows and trim;
They rush right by His cradle,
And never notice Him.

These things are all so beautiful,
Some even bear His name;
They say it's all to celebrate
The Son of God who came.

And yet I still can't see Him,
The One this all is for,
For no one here seems satisfied;
They all keep bringing more.

He's totally surrounded now
By gifts, and lights, and trees;
I know they think it's done for Him,
I know they're meant to please.

But somehow it's all gone too far;
We've forgotten Who it's for.
Through all the things we've tried to do,
We can't see Him anymore.

Come! Help me push aside the tree;
Let's move the presents there;
Turn down the lights, bring loved ones close,
And let us bow in prayer.

Dear Lord, please help us ne'er forget
It's You we've come to see;
You came to earth to offer life
To all who would believe.

You are the One we celebrate!
Before You now we fall;
With humble hearts we worship You,
The Greatest Gift of all!

[ 11 ] -- For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
[ 12 ] -- And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
[ 13 ] -- And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
[ 14 ] -- Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

( Luke 2:11-14 )(KJV)

Let's not forget the true meaning of Christmas and worship our Savior who was born on Christmas day.
