I Whispered... Thank You Lord

Arising from bed this early morn�
As I looked out my window�
I opened my curtains wide
Letting the early light greet me.
Smiling� I was touched
by the sweetest sunshine.

I turned and gazed across the room
Where my husband� soundly slept
Thinking of our long ago wedding day
Our vows� pledged and kept.
Looking at him�
I whispered� Thank you, Lord!
Just like I have�
So many times� before.

I could hear� the sweetest laughter
As our children started to rise
Echoing through the hallway door.
I whispered� once more
Thank you, Lord!

For blessing us�
with another beautiful day
To share with each other�
and to say� �I love you�
Just like we have�
so many times before.
I smiled and whispered� once again
Thank you, Lord!
