Glory Of The Lord
The Glory of the Lord came down
The day the Savior was born.
The immaculate birth in a barn.
A blessing in His child so pure.
Salvation of the Lord at hand
The day the blessed child was born.
Sent down to save wretched man
From the death sentence of sin.
As the scriptures of old foretold
Was this precious Son of God.
Man expecting that of grandeur
Only God's intent was menial stature.
Yes, born the King of royalty
Took His human place in humility
Came down with the Father's blessings,
One day to rise to His place of royalty.
Yes, One day to come back again
To take the faithful home.
There we'll live throughout eternity
With the blessed heavenly Trinity.
