The Power And The Glory
Oh Lord Jesus Does Your heart ache
As You watch the world run to and fro,
Without Your grace in every place,
Have we somehow missed all You know.
Will we understand, before You come,
Oh Lord, help us to see
The power of Your love.
We heard how the angel said then,
"Glory to God in the highest
And on earth peace
Good will to all men."
Oh! But Lord, did we by-pass the glory
And push Your power far away,
To struggle for peace on our own
With words of good will that we say.
Lord Jesus,
You always protect Your Name
For You are the glory You claim,
We know we can't depend on the sound,
Of broken promises
That come tumbling down and down
And down and down.
Lord Jesus,
You alone are the power and the glory
Yet, You took all our blame,
To give us Your peace,
All we need to know, is Your lovely Name.
