Just Call On Him
There's a street that I shall travel
Where it's meant, by God, I should go.
This street of love was built by His Son.
For, where we travel, the Father will know.
Let me not shame Thee, Father God.
Let me be at peace with Thee, now on forever,
And not to go the way of the derelict;
And, oh, to disappoint Thee, Father, never.
Look. There were hard steps at first,
Now, I am seeing, along the way, flecks of gold.
Bring me all the way, dear Savior of mine.
Let this story of my heart be all told.
I'll look for my Jesus to meet me there,
Just as did He at the old cross.
He took all my sins away, that sweet day,
And I will never ever have to suffer loss.
So, it's up this street I shall always travel.
My friend, Jesus, will ever with me go
On all the roads, e'er they are here on earth
And the way, leading to Heaven's sweetest glow.
Time and comfort shall not matter.
He was scourged for me, that awesome day.
So, let me, my Father, come to Thee
Through the cross of Jesus; no other way.
