Praise God For The Ashes
When you take time to praise God for all of your blessings
don't forget the hard times of life.
For it's through adversity God teaches us to trust Him
and He blesses us in the middle of strife.
Praise Him for the times your life took a change
and dramatically turned the other way.
For it taught you that God was the one in control
and to seek Him for the course of each day.
Praise Him for situations others didn't understand
and had no words to comfort or relate.
Because you learned that only God truly knows it all
no matter the stress on your plate.
Praise Him for the times when money was tight
and a zero left your bank account dry.
For desperation made you humble to the Perfect Provider
and open to His endless supply.
Praise God for the heartaches and disappointments of life
because they tendered you through every tear.
And you learned compassion for your fellow man
that God uses for the rest of your years.
Give thanks to the King for all spiritual blessings
and the nuggets of truth from His hand,
And for the wisdom of heaven He gave as a result
of the things you did not understand.
