| Channel Conversion 1) Cut the trace going to pin 2 on IC7. 2) Solder both sides of the cut trace to each leg of a SPST switch. 3) Cut the trace going to pin 12 on IC5. 4) With another SPST switch, solder both sides of the cut trace to each leg of the switch. Switch 1 will give you 25.425-25.865 mhz on channels 1 to 40 on Band "A" 25.875-26.045 mhz on channels 1 to 15 on Band "B" Switch 2 will give you 25.295-25.415 mhz on channels 16 to 27 on Band "A" ( The other bands are not affected with this mod.) Unlocking the Clarifier 1) Cut D58 2) Follow the Brown wire from the clarifier knob to the PC board and remove it from the board. 3) Solder this wire to a 8 volt source. 4) Follow the White wire from the clarifier control to the PC board and remove it from the board. 5) Solder a 470 ohm resister to this wire and solder the other end of the resister to PC board ground.
