| Unlocking the Clarifier 1) Find the PCB behind the clarifier. 2) Solder a jumper wire from the bottom terminal of clarifier to ground. 3) Cut trace from the top terminal of clarifier. 4) Solder a wire from the cut terminal of clarifier to 8 volt source. 5) Clip one end of D25. You may "fine-tune" your frequencies with L16 and L17.(L16 USB) (L17 LSB) Let your radio sit for 2 hours with the clarifier at "12-oclock" to get used to the new modifications. (2816 PLL) Power Tweek and Modulation 1) Change the final RF transistor to a 2SC1969. 2) Remove C128. 3) Remove TR16. 4) Change R132 to a 470 ohm resister. 5) Change R50 to a 1 ohm resister. 6) Parallel a 67pF cap with C61. 7) Remove D13 and place a jumper in its spot. 8) Re-tune L11, L12, L13, L16, L17 for maximum RF forward power.
