| **Note** All the mods for the 696 F Base unit will work for the 696 F mobile unit. Everything is still exact. The same mods will also work on the Texas Ranger 696 and 699 WX. |

| Frequency Modification 1) On the back of the channel selector switch, locate the wires marked P5 and P6. 2) Cut these wires and place SPST switches in between them and mount the switches on the back of the radio. You'll have to make a "Road map" of the new frequencies with the switches in the open and closed positions. You may remove R-276 for more modulation. |
