Frequency Modification

1)  Locate JP275.  Move the jumper to pins 2 and 3.
2)  Right behind JP275 is an empty socket labeled J2.
3)  The 3 wire connector that leads from the Hi/Low switch goes to a socket on the main    board labled J4.
4)  Unplug the jumper from J4 and plug it into J2.

For more modulation, remove Q39 which is the modulation limiter.

If you change D30 and D31 from a 1N60 to ECG-583 diodes, this will improve your AM detection.  Distant stations will come in stronger and clearer.  If you use ECG-583 for D1 and D2, it'll give you a more effective noise blanker.  You'll notice the difference more so in a mobile set-up than a base set-up.
