| ** Note ** The following modifications are the same for all three radios above |
| Channel Modification 1) Mount 2 toggle switches on the rear of the radio. 2) Solder 2 wires to both ends of the switches (SPST) and solder the other ends of the wires to board ground. 3) Solder a wire to the other side of one of one switch and the other end of the wire to pin 10 on the 8719 PLL IC. 4) Solder another wire to the other switch and the other end of the wire to pin 11 of the 8719 PLL IC. |
| Unlocking the Clarifier 1) Remove R44, R174, R175, and D52. 2) Solder a jumper wire where you removed R174. 3) Solder a jumper wire where you removed R175. 4) Move the orange wire on the clarifier to the empty hole on the printed circuit board next to R137. (8.17 volts) 5) Re-adjust L23 (AM), L59 (USB), L22(LSB) for center slot on the clarifier. |
| You may remove TR24 for more modulation. You may change TR36 to a 2SC2312 for higher wattage output. You'll have to re-adjust L47, L48, L46, L45, L38, and L36 for maximum forward power. VR10 AM Power VR11 SSB Power |
