Channel Modification

1)  Remove the top and bottom of the radio.
2)  Locate J2.  Its located in the denter of the radio towards the front.  Move the jumper the the other 2 pins.
3)  Remove the frequency counter module carefully.
4)  Locate J29 behind the frequency counter.
5)  Move the jumper diagonally from the current corner to the other.
6)  Reinstall the frequency counter and put the radio back together.

You now have 24.965 to 29.665.

Here are some additional improvments that you can make to the radio.

You can replace D1 and D2 with ECG-583 Schottky diodes for a quieter noise blanker.

You can also replace the AM dection diodes with the ECG-583's.  You might have to re-tune the receive portion of the radio after installation.

Super Swing Modification

1)  Locate R-264.
2)  As you are viewing the front of the radio, unsolder the right leg of R-264.
3)  Solder a 1N4001 in series with the leg of the resistor.  Make sure the banded end of the diode gets soldered in the empty hole on the circuit board.

This will give you full swing and a lower dead-key.
