| Channel Modification |
| 1. Remove the bottom half of the radio. Unplug the speaker. |
| 2. With the radio facing you, slightly tilt it towards you. You will see the large LC7232 IC chip. Unsolder bridges 5 and 6. Re-assemble the radio. |
| Power on the radio while holding down the "DW" and "CH9" buttons. Then use the "CH9" button for the Band Select.
Band A: 25.615 Mhz to 26.055 Mhz Band B: 26.065 Mhz to 26.505 Mhz Band C: 26.515 Mhz to 26.955 Mhz Band D: 26.965 Mhz to 27.405 Mhz Band E: 27.415 Mhz to 27.855 Mhz Band F: 27.865 Mhz to 28.305 Mhz |
| There are 2 types of circuit boards for this radio. Board "A" and "B". Board A - - - D18 has either been cut or removed. Resolder this diode. Full power is restored. Board B - - - Locate D18. You'll notice that its intact. Follow the etch both ways from the diode and resolder the bridge. The manufacture was being tricky about this mod. |
