| ** Note ** There are 2 different boards. Here are both mods. |
| Channel Modification Old Model 1) Remove the bottom cover that has the speaker on it. 2) On the back side of the display, you see a black jumper marked "CN5". Remove it and place it on the other slot. 3) Replace the bottom cover. Pull out the "CH" switch for the extra channels. |
| Newer Model 1) Remove the bottom cover that has the speaker on it. 2) On the back side of the display, you see a set of pads. 3) Solder a set of .1uf capacitors across the 2 middle pads as shown. 4) Replace the bottom cover. After the mod is complete, remove the radio from all power and short the power wires together and turn the radio switch to the ON position. Let it set for about 10 minutes. Reconnect to power. The display will indicate which band is in use. |
