Chapter 3
Jamie's POV The 3rd stop of our tour was over, and the skaters were all attending the post-show reception. Shae and I were sitting together at a table with a large group of fans. We were regaling them with stories about life on tour, while other were laughing, talking, and dancing. A song started to play and Victor approached our table. He held his hand out to Shae a little apprehensively. May I have this dance? Shae grinned, banishing his fears and the two of them moved gracefully onto the dance floor. They were so cute together * * * Shae's POV Taking Vics hand, I followed him into the center of the room. The song that was playing was one I hadnt heard before, but the words seemed to reflect exactly how I was feeling. A moment like this Some people wait a lifetime For a moment like this Some people search forever For that one special kiss I cant believe its happening to me Some people wait a lifetime For a moment like this Vic pulled me in closer and I melted against him. We danced together every day but never had it affected me in this manner. All the pressure, anger, disappointment, and sadness of the past few days dissipated. It was just us. I wanted the moment to last forever. I wanted to stay here, safe, in Victors arms for all eternity. It was then I realized how much I loved my partner. I loved him as way more than a best friend. * * * Lucinda's POV A Moment Like This by Kelly Clarkson. One of my favourite songs. I went off in search of my boyfriend, and found him glaring jealously at Shae-Lynn and Victor. Whats wrong? I asked him. Thats my girl! I stared at him, hurt. Your girl? I thought I was your girl! I slapped him across the face and stormed out, leaving Steven alone, dumbstruck. * * * Jamie's POV Dave and I watched amused as the drama between Lucinda and Steven unfolded. I giggled as Lucinda stormed out. Steve had received exactly what he deserved. I glanced at Shae and Victor, and grinned at Dave. They were still dancing blissfully, completely oblivious to their surroundings. It reminded me of when Dave and I had first fallen in love. It had taken Shae and Vic a lot longer to realize than it had us. Its about time! Dave muttered.
