Duplicate items
This is a SEVERE warning! Contacting Missingno. at all during your game will glitch it in many ways and possibly ruin the entire game. Use these codes at you own risk.
This code will give you over 99 of any item you choose that has a number next to it. Put this item as the sixth one in your inventory. Go to Viridian City and talk to the man there that shows you how to throw a pokeball. Say "NO" to his question.
After you are done talking to him, FLY down to Cinnabar Island. SURF up and down the right coast of the island. Eventually, you will come to Pok?n that are over L100, which was previously thought to be impossible. Catch these Pok?n if you wish. Eventually, you will come to the Pok?n named MISSINGNO. Defeat him and when you are back outside of the battle check your sixth item. It will be duplicated past 99.
Rare Candies, Master Balls, and Celadon City coin cases are all good items to use in this code.
Glitch City
Go into the Safari Zone and say YES that you want to catch Pok?n. Walk around for a little bit, and then try to leave Safari Zone. When he asks you if you are leaving early, say NO. It will make you walk back into the Safari Zone. Leave again, and once more say NO. When you go back into the Safari Zone, save your game and then shut it off. Turn it back on and go out of the Safari Zone.
This is when the first glitch appears. Instead of asking you if you want to leave early, he asks you if you want to join the hunt. When he asks you this, make sure to say NO again. Walk out of the house and FLY to Cinnabar Island. SURF up and down the coast until there is the gong you usually hear in the Safari Zone, although it may take a while. The game then warps you back to the Safari Zone and the man asks if you had a good haul and so forth. Leave the building, and when you go outside you are in a strange "Glitch City."
It is very easy to get trapped in here, and the different glitches make it hard to move around. Some things to try are fishing, SURFing, and trying to find new paths. Just remember, nothing is what it seems. If you want to get out of the city, you must FLY out and save.
It really doesn't matter where you FLY to; instead of Cinnabar Island, try Cycling Road or any other city and see what the difference is when you enter the "Glitch City." Cinnabar Island was just posted here because it makes the most interesting glitches in my opinion.
But be Warned, this code could delete your game data.
The Invisible PC
Works for all versions.
Go to the people hotel in Celadon City. Go all the way to the center of the right wall. Go one step up and press A. You will log onto a PC just as if there were one there.
Red/Blue/Yellow
Clone Pok?n
Set up a trade with the game link cable. Make sure one Gameboy has a Pok?n that will not matter if it is deleted. This would mean Magikarp, Ratatta, etc.
When the person with the good Pok?n, such as Mew or the Legendary Birds, screen says "Waiting...!" there will be a very small pause. The person with the good Pok?n should shut off his Gameboy instantly at this time. The other person may now turn off his Gameboy.
If you did the code correctly, when the game is turned back on, both people will have the good Pok?n.
How to get bulbasaur,charmander,squirtle
Works for Yellow only.
In order to get Bulbasaur, train Pikachu until he is super happy and jumps up and down when you speak to him. Then in Cerulean City, go to the house with Melanie in it and she will give you her bulbasaur.
To get Charmander, simply beat Nugget Bridge. Go north and there will be a ledge with a boy on it. He will give you Charmander as long as you promise to take care of it.
Finally, to get Squirtle, beat Lt. Surge. After obtaining the Thunder Badge from him, speak to Officer Jenny outside and she will give you Squirtle.
Gold/Silver
Change Normal Pokemon to Shining Pokemon in Gold & Silver
If you want the full benefit of this code, use a Pokemon that can evolve. Otherwise, there will be some confusion with names and so forth.
First, place a flying pokemon that has been taught FLY as the first pokemon in your lineup, the "Golden Gyarados" as the sixth position, and the pokemon whose color is to be changed in the second position.
After doing this, put all of the pokemon back into the PC except the first one. Next, take out the pokemon that was in the second position before, the one that will be changed.
Enter the bug-catching contest that is near Kogane city. This is held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. As soon as you enter it, exit right away. When the clerk asks you if you want to quit, make sure you say NO, which is always the lower answer.
Now use your Flying Pokemon to FLY out of the contest. Store the pokemon that will be changed in a PC, then go back to the contest and say YES, the top answer, to complete the contest. Return to a PC, withdraw the pokemon, and check its status screen. The pokemon will be a different color, but it will have Gyarados's name.
Grow the pokemon until it evolves. You may want to use Rare Candies if you have any. Now when you go into battle with the evolved form of the original pokemon, it will have a shining status.

This code is fun to do and the outcome is worth it.
Item Duplication
Equip a pokemon with a strong item, such as a Master Ball. Put a pokemon with FLY in the first position of your lineup. Put a very bad pokemon, such as Rattata, in your second slot, and put the pokemon with the item to be duplicated in your sixth slot.
Put all of the pokemon into a PC box except for the first one. Take out the second one. Enter the Bug Catching contest, but exit it as soon as you enter. When the clerk asks you if you want to leave, say NO which is always the bottom answer.
Go back in and use the flying pokemon to leave the contest. Deposit the second pokemon back into a PC. Go back to the contest and say YES, which is always the top answer, to finish.
Now check your status screen. Your second pokemon should be in your possession, and it will have the item you wanted to be duplicated attached to it. Take the item away from it, then throw the pokemon away. You may do this as many times as you want to get the items you need.

I like this one because it is always helpful to have extra items.
Multiply Pokemon
In order to breed any pokemon you already have, just breed that pok?n with a Ditto. Since Ditto will breed anything, it's easy to get a level five version of any of your pok?n. Try this with Eevee or any of his evolutions to get all the Eevee evolutions!

This is a heck of a lot better than duplicating in RBY!
Pokemon and Item Duplication
this is a SEVERE WARNING before this code. If you make a mistake, you may lose the pokemon instead of duplicating it.
First, determine which pokemon you wish to clone. Make sure you don't have over 5 pokemon in your lineup. Any item that your pokemon is carrying when it is cloned will duplicate also.
Put the pokemon you wish to clone in a box on a PC. Change boxes. As the game is saving, turn off the power. When you turn it back on, there should be two of the pokemon you wanted to clone.
Code Rating: 6/10
Although this is a good duplication technique, the risks are too big to really enjoy the code.
Fight Pokemon Trainers Forever
In Gold & Silver, there are some very special trainers. Some of these are the man near the entrance of "Ice Shortcut", a girl near the entrance of Victory Road in route 26, and a man on route 28.
After defeating these people, say "Yes" to their question, and they will give you their phone number. Continue on your journey, and sometimes they will call you back for a rematch!

This is a neat trick if you are ever short on money and need to beat a couple of trainers!
Rare Pokemon Trick
When you come to a rare pokemon that you can only catch once, such as Usocky, Lugia, or Houou, go right next to the pokemon but do not press any buttons. Save your game immediately.
Now fight the pokemon as usual. If you catch him, then don't worry, you don't need the code. If you lose, however, or you accidentally kill the pokemon, shut off the game without saving. When you turn it back on, you will be right in front of the pokemon and you have another chance to catch him. You can keep doing this until you finally capture it!

This code is great because it can be used in RBY for Mewtwo, the Legendary Birds, and Snorlax!
Save Time
When you arrive in Enjyu City, head straight to the tower. Your rival will confront you there, but he will not fight you. This saves time because if you get the Gym Badge first and then go to the tower, your rival will fight you.

Get Togepi
After you defeat the first gym leader, go to the pokemon center. You will see a scientist from Wakaba. Talk to him and he will give you an egg. After you walk around for a while, the egg will hatch into the lovable Togepi. It will be at level five.
