Slave Ship
2000
My sister and I are running down the Laughlin strip trying to remain unseen. Whats different however is that the river is not in its normal place. The river is running right down the street between all of the casinos. There are sand bags keeping the water from seeping into the buildings.
People are lined up outside the casinos as if a parade is coming down the street.  I step up and look down the street to see a very large ship made from bamboo and other materials that give it away-a slave ship from Africa.  There are finger-painted tribal sheilds placed all along either sides of the ship.
Familiarity comes over me and my face pales.  I step backwards very slowly until out of sight again. My sister is back against the wall with a look of freight and curiousity on her face. But she already knows what it is by the look on my countance.  We made our way further down the strip, trying to stay out of sight. But we know that the ship is gaining on us and  so we walk faster and faster.
Eventually the ship catches up to us. I think if the ship can just go by without seeing us that we'll be alright. Good plan-but illusions die when a slave master on the ship spots us and stops the ship in its tracks to chase after us.
We run-but are caught.  Next thing I know were in someones apartment locked up a room-I telpathically call for help.  A regualr eveyday family man hears me and everyone thinks that hes crazy. I think Im crazy for thinking that I could ever do telepathy.  All of the sudden I hear amotorcycle engine outside the window. Hes on it telling us to hop on.  The door slams open behind us. So we both jump through the glass and ride off.                THE END.
