The Dance
1984
Woke up in the same room I fell asleep in.  I noticed something resembling a dark rain cloud (smoke) blanketing a section of the ceiling leading out into the second floor hallway.  The trail of smoke led into the upstairs bathroom.  My memory draws a blank if rather the door was left open or if it had been closed.  What I do recall is the smoke vanishing once I entered the room.
The feeling of an eternal silence and the finality of death filled the room and left me with a curious feeling that I still fail to be able to out words to.
Then something out of the ordinary caught my full attention.  It took a third glance to notice, but a small picture frame was proped on the back of the toilet.
As I slowly approached, a picture began to appear in it.  The picture was of three bodies made of fire.  One was a man and the other two were women.  All three bodies were unclothed.  This visual stole my concentration.  I found that the longer I looked at it the harder It got for me to look away.
I noticed a change after staring into it for sometime.  The bodies started showing movement.  I leaned in closer so to get a better look.  It became definite that they were really moving!  In fact it almost seemed as though they were dancing.  As the dance went on I became enchanted.
The dancers became sensual, dancing so closly at times-appearing to be one giant flame.  Their dancing became erotic and provacative-dancing in different sexual positions.  Though I didnt understand it at the time-see the images of the dream in my head now-I know what it was that I saw.  I do recall knowing or at least being aware of the sin protruding from it.  The feeling surrounded me so that I slowly began to walk backwards away from it.  My reason for walking away while still looking at the picture was because I remained incapable to pry my eyes away from it.
Not three steps from the door to the hallway the door slammed shut and I became consumed in fire.  Screaming in terror-I woke up.
