Step One: Remove and Replace the Front Beam

Here you can see I've removed the wheels and the drum brakes. My next step was to remove the shocks
and then the steering box, tie rods, and steering dampener. After that I had to remove the gas tank
from the front trunk so that I could take the bolts out that hold the beam into place.

After removing the beam I put the shocks into the new beam (Donsco part number #113 401 021DL $149.95)
so I wouldn't have to do it later. The only bad thing was that the shocks were too long so I ended up
changing them after I got done. The new shocks tucked the wheels under the fenders nicely. (Lowered
shocks Donsco Part Number #344068 $24.95) Then with the help of my friend, Big Mike, we got the front
beam in the car. Then it was the opposite of taking the beam off; replace the steering box, tie rods and steering
dampener, then put the brakes on and finally replace the wheels. I bought this beam with the spindles attached
to it. It cost me a little bit more but was well worth it. It save me a lot of time and made it a lot easier.

Here is the final product. You can't really tell from this picture but, the front end dropped about 4".
