A Bible Verse

"God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God`s work from beginning to end. So I concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they can." Ecclesiastes 3:11-12

*~My Faith~*

I became a devout Christian after God 'saved' me from spiritual death. I was never a very strong Christian growing up, but when I moved back to Iowa my freshman year I was given an incentive to pray. I prayed that I would be sent back to Korea, as I grew to love it quite a lot. We originally had very low chances of going back, and I was growing to become accustomed to my new life. However I knew that I would never truly be content unless I went back to SFS. It was then that God answered my prayers, as Samsung Korea offered my dad a job. I promised God that if He sent me back to Korea I would be eternally grateful for it, and I still am today. Had I not been brought back to Korea, it is likely that I would never have become a devout Christian. It was definately a turning point in my spirituality. Today, I have a close relationship with God that I maintain by daily quiet times and going to church. This relationship has given me a new viewpoint on life, as I realize that all these earthly sufferings such as stressing over workload and not being accepted are just temporary pains, and are nothing compared God's immeasurable love and mercy. Failing one test or missing a homework assignment isn't going to hurt you in the long run, it will just be a memory in a matter of years. But faith in God lasts forever, and gives motivation to lead a righteous life. After reading a scripture that states there is inheritence awaiting every one of us in heaven, I was inspired to have complete faith in God. That doesn't mean that I slack off and lead an uninspirational life, it just gives me hope whenever everything seems to go awry. That is how I handle overwhelming situations, and how I percieve things in life. Basically, if God is kept at the top of everybody's priorities...everything will be put in the right perspective, and that is what is important.
