Blood Soul
Blood Souls are small, floating creatures that can be randomly encountered in Final Fantasy VIII. These gas-filled fiends have a large assortment of status effect spells that they can inflict on unwary travelers including "blind", "zombie", "sleep", "silence", and "berserk". Possessed with a vile sense of humor, one of their favorite things to do is transform someone into a zombie and then begin casting cure and regeneration magic on them (healing spells in Final Fantasy games have the exact opposite effect on the unliving). Blood Souls also physically attack by biting. Being undead themselves, these creatures are particularly vulnerable to holy attacks, and, to a lesser extent, fire.
Materials:
Cardboard, white paper, white/hot glue, chocolate-covered cashews, and paint.

Time:
Unknown; this figure's creation occured before I started keeping thorough records of my work (which means it was made sometime prior to May 30, 2004).
