True to the name after whom it was founded, Dr. Sarvepally Radhakrishnan College of Arts at Andhra university, has trained many students in different branches of humanities. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a teacher, a scholar par excellence and a revered international philosopher. The first vice-chancellor of the university, he also served as the vice-president and the President of India. He brought dignity to all the positions he held including the one as a teacher. His birthday is celebrated all over India as Teachers' day. Being one of the first colleges opened, the College of Arts is also one of the oldest and the most imposing buildings of the university.
