Suspension Parts

all of the front suspension parts were sandblasted, coated with por-15, then primed and finally coated with semigloss black.

the k-frame was also sandblasted. then i welded a continuous bead around all seams to strengthen it. from the factory it was spot welded. i also made a skid plate out of 14 ga stock.

the car originally came with power steering, but i will be replacing it with a manual box and a longer steering shaft from a manual steering car. i bought a manual column at c@c 99 and used parts from my existing column and the new column. for drag racing i removed the column lock so if i need to shut down during a run i could still steer.

this is the modified lower control arm. eliminates use of torsion bars.

tubular control arms are used to clear the coilovers.
