Umbrella's Of Anointing
As I sat meditating on John 8:31-32 today, "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." , the Lord began showing me how the people of God who have believed the Gospel message are under umbrella's of anointing.
The first umbrella of anointing is an umbrella of reproof and removal.
The Lord is wearied by those who say yes with their mouths and no with their commitments to be zealous and busy about the work of proclaiming His truth. The patience of the Lord has been extended to a disobedient people in longsuffering while giving opportunity for repentance and return to the truth - the truth of historical Christianity uncorrupted by the perverse doctrines conjured in the minds of earthly men - the simple truth proclaimed by simple but godly men chosen and separated to divorce themselves from the standards of the world.
Many stand under this umbrella of reproof and removal. The Lord is calling men to repent for following their own desires for status and glamour while there is yet time for repentance. Those who have fallen prey to the deceptions of these latter days, followed doctrines of devils, yielded to seducing spirits and taught men to do likewise will be held seriously accountable for perverting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and leading eternal souls into humanistic concepts cloaked in garb that holds only a slight resemblance to the historical Gospel delivered to the saints.
Likewise, those who choose to move themselves from their given positions in the Body of Christ who assume themselves to be leaders when the Holy Spirit has not empowered or gifted for such - who exercise control over those whom the Holy Spirit has ordained to offices of leadership in the Body of Jesus Christ. For the Lord has ordained and established and none can alter his design.
It is wise to search ourselves, to allow the Holy Spirit to search our hearts, and know the reproval of the Lord. The consequence of refusal is removal. The Lord is removing the obstacles that hinder the truth. He is removing the obstacles that have created harm to the Body of Christ. He is removing those who profess to be disciples and refuse to continue in His word. Of a truth, "judgement begins at the house of God."
The second umbrella of anointing is an umbrella of renewal and restoration.
Those who will follow after the truth are being set free to be the genuine people of God who salt and give light to the earth - discovering the lift of mounting up with wings as eagles to soar above the bondage of manmade rules and traditions regardless of denominational flavor spanning the spectrum from catholicism to charismania - being renewed in the spirit of their minds to know and to do the will of God - being restored and equipped to walk as Jesus walked accompanied by the power of the Holy Spirit - being enabled to minister as true disciples healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons and preaching the kingdom of God.
The Lord has said, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams." We need more of what the Lord has for us.
True revival can never come without the umbrella's of anointing - the one for reproval and removal, the other for renewal and restoration.
