The Pastor's Study

Thanks for coming in. We are ready to begin so let me tell you about what we are doing in The Pastor's Study.

We are studying the Bible. That may sound kind of antique and old fashioned but the Bible is antique and old fashioned. Don't let that fool you. It's not good because it's old, even though the older I get the more appreciation I have for things with some age on them. It's old because it's good and the contents of the Bible are as applicable today as they were when they were first penned.

Here's what we'll be looking at in The Pastor's Study and these will be posted here on a weekly basis. As they are posted a link will be attached so you can view them.

To begin with we are taking a journey through the Bible looking at what I call our "foundations for belief." This is important. Especially considering the proliferation of things in our world that is contrary to our faith and belief in the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. This is also important considering the present trends to emphasize the spectacular and supernatural things where spiritual gifts are concerned. Honestly, it's easy to find ourselves chasing after winds and waves of doctrines that have elements of truth in them but fall short of telling the whole truth.
