It started out as just facinstion from movies like "The Craft", but as I began researching witchraft I found something that made sense.
The concept of there being more than one God, or at least more than one side to God. Masculine and Feminine
The Christian's believe that there is one God and only one God and that God is male. If God is male, then why did he create men to be so cluless as to what a woman's needs are when he also created women?
Wiccans believe that there are two forms of God. The masculin, who presides over the fire and wind elements; and feminine, who presides over the earth and water elements. This kind of explains why there are so many opposites in our world.
If only one higher being created all of life, why are there so many things that contradict each other, both in life and in theory?
Also the idea of worshiping, or paying tribute and showing appreciation to/for, the world around us is the basis of this religion. To often people take advantage of what is around them and what they believe is there forever, when the truth is that we are slowly demolishing everything that we take for granted. For example; the forests, select species of animals and our atmosphere are all endanger without the help of those who believe that they are worth keeping around for future generations to experience.
These are just my thoughts and are not ment to sway you to practice the Craft. But please keep an open mind and dont't let stereotypes block your vision. Who knows, you may actually learn something!
