What does
integrity Mean? It means
that you are 'integrated', or all in
one piece. In order to have a sense of integrity, you must feel that your actions are in agreement with who you believe you are and want to be. You may be aware that you are on a 'learning curve', and so your sense of integrity is almost never 100%, since this is a moving target. The person you want to be tomorrow is bigger than who
you are today.

The problem we often face, when we try to work out how to deal with each other, across cultural, religious, age and other barriers, is that terms like 'happiness', 'goodness', even 'fairness', can be relative terms depending on our backgrounds and life histories.
Integrity, however, is a concept, which is well defined and can only be understood one way. I am therefore proposing, that we choose it as the basis for civilised interaction across all boundaries. What serves to strengthen our respective integrities is progress, what would tend to diminish our degree of intergrity is a step backwards.
