Biography:
Born in Winchester, Kentucky, eldest son of Phyillis and David Reed. Has two brothers, David and Doug and one sister, Leasa who all still live in KY with thier families.
Bear as he is well known, started costuming when he got to old to trick or treat! As he got older he created costumes to compete in Halloween bar contests. While stationed in the Norfolk area, he attend his first Science Fiction and Fantasy convention known as Sci-Con. He took the Fantasy division with his costume known as the Barbarian Knight. A list of the conventions and awards won are listed below along with pictures of the variety of costumes.
Worked a variety of jobs before joining the US Navy at age 27. Was a Fire Control Technician aboard the USS Hermitage, LSD-34 out of Little Creek Naval Base. A Fire Control technician is an electronic weapons tech. Maintained, operated and controlled a General Dynamics Phalanx system known as C.I.W.S (Close In Weapons System). This was an anti- missle defense system also known as R2D2 with a hardon!
Presently he is a Telcom Analyst for a major bank. He is married to Christina and has a daughter Jessica. He still continues to costume and utilizes one of his best costumes til this day as part of the Klingon Assault Group. He holds a senior officer position which is described more in his KAG profile. He enjoys Star Trek, Babylon Five and especially like Marvin the Martian
