| These are tips provided to get you you started in the game. They are not a walkthrough, just little ideas that I found to be useful in playing. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. Save a lot. You never know when you might fall off a cliff or get attacked by some unexpected visitor. You don't want to die and have to repeat a large portion of the game. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2. Save under differant games. Sometimes when you explore new territories you get into a situation where you can't in any way get out of alive, and if you save in a situation like this under one game only you'll be stuck and will have to start over. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3. Learn the shortcut keys. This just makes the game go faster. Important ones are: F3-repeat last typed sentence F4-look at item F5-save F7-restore Alt Z-quit game Tab-inventory =-swim The others are listed by going to help. |

| 4. Tips especially for the beanstalk: make a special game (exp. save under a new game called 'Beanstalk') for when you are climbing the beanstalk. If you are anything like me you will fall a lot, and rather than waiting to hit the ground and die, I hit F7 as soon as I fall to restore. I also hit F5 every couple of steps to save. Saving under a differant name comes in handy when you fall and hit F5 instead of F7 and save yourself falling instead of restoring (YES, I have done that many a-times). If you do this on your main game you are screwed (yes, I've done that too)! Also walk slowly and save every couple of steps. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 5. Explore everywhere and look in everything. You never know where you might find something. Also take everything you find. You never know when you might need it, and you use almost everything you come across. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 6. Try typing things in differant ways.If the computer won't let you do something, it is often because it doesn't understand what you are trying to say. Rewording things helps. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 7. Last of all take time and enjoy the game. It is a fun game. Play it slowly and look at everything!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
