Memories,
Thought our minds need to forget.
Shattered and cold, I feel shattered and cold. As my eyes begin to re-focus and my senses awaken I realizes Im drenched in rain. I try to get up but my legs are bruised and they throb as I move them. After a few painful tries I manage to sit up and look around.
Trees are everywhere. Where am I? It looks like a forest, and its getting dark. Why am I here? I try to remember how I got here but nothing comes and it scares me, what in the hell is happening?
Why cant I remember? Melody, thats right my name is Melody. Im making progress. I try to remember more but nothing comes up. Its strange, whats happened to my memory? Why am I bruised all over?
I begin to drift off to the sound of rain hitting against the forest leaves. Something inside my mind tells me to wake up or else I wont be able to get up the next time. But my body doesnt obey and I fall back down to the ground.
Throbbing, my mind is throbbing. I need the pain to stop, Im ready to find a sharp rock and hit my head with it- anything for the pain to stop.
Time passes by, I dont know if Im unconscious, conscious, or both. I dont know how long I remained in that state but a while after my collapse I remember seeing a blonde-haired boy run past me a couple yards away. I want to yell out to him, but my mouth wont open. So instead I begin to cry, blurring my vision.
When I open my eyes again I find the same boy kneeling over me.
Youre alive. He whispers, his eyes registering shock. I cant reply so I focus on the boys eyes instead.
They drift down to my arms; Im wearing a t-shirt, making my cuts and bruises visible.
Youre hurt. Yes I am I reply in my mind. Can you get up? His voice is so soothing I find myself relaxing to it. After no response he touches my arm. I flinch in pain and he quickly retracts it. At least my nerves still work.
You cant move. He says it like Im dying. I feel myself slipping into unconsciousness again; maybe I am dying. My ears begin to shut off and my eyes let go of tears once again, staining my lips with salted water. As the last part of me gives in I hear a faint mutter, A corpse, shes like a beautiful corpse
