Listen to Me and Live

Kenneth J. Purscell, based on Isaiah 55

Why do you spend your money
on bread that does not feed?
And why do you toil away your life
for things you don't really need?
Come, feast on the bread that's beyond compare;
Your soul will rejoice in the finest fare;
My love for you will be always there!
Come, listen to me and live!

The rain falling down from heaven
will do what I ask it to.
The snow floats down on the mountaintops
at my call to make all things new.
Just so shall my Word go forth from me;
It works all my purpose to set people free,
and you shall go onward joyfully!
Come, listen to me and live!
