Kanu as we all know made the greatest impact in Arsenal this season. He joined Arsenal on the 15th of January '99 and ever since his first appearance he has entertained all spectators with some brilliant football. Kanu came to prominence when, as a teenager, he helped Nigeria win the World Under-17 Cup in Japan in 1993 and signed for Ajax in the following year. In 1996 he scored the golden goal as Nigeria beat Brazil in the semi-finals of the Atlanta Olympics where Nigeria won the gold medal under his captainship. In 1997 Kanu had an open-heart surgery in the US which saved his career and life! Now he is playing for Arsenal at his best again. He is one of my favorite players. |
