Fayateville (June 5th - 9th)
After two weeks out in LA for the pre-production and first event week, the next stop was Fayatteville, AR. Actually, we were in Bentonville, AR. You may ask, "Why Arkansas?" Well, this was the week of the Wal-Mart shareholders convention and we were there as a perk from Mattel to Wal-Mart.
Rebecca arrived an hour after I did into the Northwest Arkansas Regional airport on Wednesday night. We spent one night at the Quality Inn, which was not actually "quality" at all! Then we headed to the Country Inn & Suites. This place wasalot better. Rebecca liked the free breakfasts that they supplied. (mmm.. do-it-yourself Belgian waffles... )
The 3 event days were all at the Wal-Mart across the street from headquarters. (No, we didn't meet anyone from the Walton family!) Our staff was very nice and we met alot of cool people from other promotions... SPAM-burgers, PEEPS, Fuji, Hershey's Kiss, Hallmark Kaleidescope, and Playstation 989.
