DALLAS (June 10th - 16th)
We were very busy from the moment we arrived in Dallas from Fayetteville on the 10th until the moment we left for Chicago on the 16th. Chad Walter, a longtime friend of Kevin and resident of Dallas, and his wife Emily, helped us to truly take advantage of our stay.
All eyes were on us as we pulled into Chad and Emily's sleepy suburban neighborhood...one resident watched and wondered, "Are they really going to park that 24' truck on this street?" Yes, he stopped and stared and occasionally grunted. Yet, we were fearless and certain that his grunts stemmed really from jealousy and not from the reality that our noisy and colorful truck had disrupted the quiet of his quaint neighborhood. Kevin and I looked at eachother, sighed, and moved on.....
So, Chad and Emily helped us make our first night fun and filling by taking us out to the Blue Goose, a tex-mex restaurant. Throughout the rest of the week, we worked (of course) at the Dallas Science Center and a few Wal-marts, went to a great Texas Rangers game (and sat in a suite at that), ate a whole lot more at different Dallas restaurants, went to see a fun movie, and most importantly.....

WE BOUGHT A VESPA !!!!!
(We have been planning this for a few weeks, as a nice alternative to driving the box truck ALL the time.)
