3. NETHERLANDS: 5-10 July 1999 to present a paper in the XV International Conference on South Asian Archaeology, organised by International Institute for Asian Studies, Leiden University, Leiden.
4. JAPAN : 14 - 24 January, 2003 to deliver invited lecture on 'South Indian Megalithic Culture' at Taisho University, Tokyo, and to visit Museums and Institutes for study of ceramics in connection with the preparation of the Report of the International Joint-Research Project on “Commercial Activities in Medieval Indian Ocean as Revealed from Inscriptions and Ceramic-sherds.” being carried out by the Taisho University, Tokyo, Japan.

Completed a Research Project funded by the University Grants Commission
on “Archaeological Investigations in Swarnamukhi and Ponneri River Valleys”.
In course of explorations about 35
sites of varied archaeological potential (Neolithic,
Megalithic, Early Historic) have been discovered.
One of the significant
discovery is an ancient sea-port located at Kottapatnam on the east coast.
This site has given archaeological evidence of South India’s trade and
cultural contacts with Southeast Asia in the pre-Christian era.
UGC MAJOR RESEARCH PROJECT
Completed Major
Research Project on ‘Maritime Activity in Early Andhra : an Archaeological Investigation’, funded by the University Grants
Commission. The Project
envisages survey of the Andhra coast for Archaeological sites with traces of Maritime activity and excavation of few sites for collection of basic
data.
ISRO SUPPORTED PROJECT
Research Project on “Remote Sensing for Identification and Study of Palaeochannels and Archaeological Sites”. Under this project, satellite imageries would be used to identify potential areas for archaeological investigations.
