Dick retired from Eastman Kodak in 1991. I (Karen)
still had 10 more years of teaching. In the summer of '93' while camping in the Adirondack Mountains we decided to look for retirement property on which to build our future retirement home. In January of '94' we closed on the property on Catamount Pond.Our dream house began to take shape on July 1, 1994 (Dick's birthday) when two truckloads of logs were delivered to the site. We had sold our home and lived in
a camper donated by my brother while the house was being built. By Thanksgiving we were moved in but only on a temporary basisas I was yet to retire. For two more years we spent weekends, summers, holidays and vacations on Catamount Pond.In June of '96' it was decided that I would take an early retirement. We then moved here on a
permanent basis. On our website we wish to share with you all the wonderful things to see and do in the area. |
