Seishiro Kuki

Seishiro Kuki, who would grow to be one of the great Samurai of the Shi, lead a tragic life, one of hardships and many great troubles. The younger of two twins, his parents unknown, he and his older brother Tohma, were found abandoned on a dirt road on the outskirts of Kunio. A Samurai and Ninja who had been battling, would cease their fighting, and each would take one of the twins, for neither could overpower the other, although they did wish to take both.

Kuki was the twin that was raised by the Samurai. Although the Samurai was not extremely strong, he was a kind and just person, and raised Kuki as his own. When Kuki was old enough, he would learn the Samurai way as all other Shi children did. He began to show extreme skill, and would defeat his foster father at the tender age of 9. Kuki was also a good child, although he was a bit distranged from the others, far too quiet, and a bit different. It was most due to the fact that even though he lived with the Shi, he could never in reality be one of them.

His skill would be recognized throughout Shonan, and Haomaru would take a liking to young Kuki, also teaching him more about the blade and the life of a Samurai. Under Haomaru, his full potential would be reached, and he would join the ranks of the best Samurai of the Shi.

Eventually, Kuki would cross paths with his brother, Tohma. In the midst of a battle, there would be two warriors, one Samurai, one Ninja, who distinctly stood out, slaying several of their opponents. Each would stand out in either's eyes, but the first confrontation would end without a duel. Through various ways, Kuki and Tohma would learn of either's existance, and although they were indeed twins, both would learn to hate each other. A few years later, their paths would cross again, and they would clash, two forces far too strong to co-exist.

As fate would have it, tragedy would strike these two brothers. During yet another of their infamous battles, both would take severe wounds. Kuki would be left blind, while Tohma would lose his hearing. Even though both were impaired, they would continue to fight in the war, and they would continue their loyalty to their respective sides, proving time and time again to be valuable assets.

Their last battle would take place in the cold of winter. The battleground would be a bamboo forest. Kuki would fall first, his crimson blood staining the snow covered ground. Tohma, who had also sustained fatal wounds, would fall and pass away, lying next to his only family.
