The
Picture On The Wall
When
I look upon your face,
I remember how you walked with grace.
Your laughter rang, true as a bell,
But now my tears could fill a well,
As your sweetness I now recall,
Looking at your picture,
on the wall !

I
saw you lay there, oh so still,
Only shivering, as if a chill.
Then you died and left me here !
Oh my baby, how I miss you, dear !
No one here, no one at all,
Just your picture,
on the wall !

I
thought about taking it down.
Then I thought of you, with a frown,
Saying," you shouldn't be so sad!"
But honey, I am your dad !
And I've always answered your beck and call,
So I'll stare at your picture,
on the wall !

I'll
just leave it where it be,
I don't want you upset with me!
I'll sit here sadly, and I'll wait,
Until we meet at that pearly gate !
Then never again to sit and bawl,
Looking at your picture,
on the wall !
