Homework: #3 Pretend to be a partygoer and describe what u see at Gatsby’s parties. Dear Andy, I frequently go to these parties hosted by a man named Gatsby. Have you ever heard of him? Well his parties contain people who weren’t even invited--I’m one of them-- and people who were invited. People come from NY to Gatsby’s parties. Gatsby has his parties in his mansion in the east egg, Long island sound. He owns a garden and lives right off the beach.His parties are so large with many people both inside and outside his mansion dancing. There is this real brass rail bar setup with gins and liquors. There is also an orchestra and the singers sometimes a tenor who sings in Italian and a notorious contralto sings in jazz. There is buffet tables with hor f’ overs spiced baked hams with salads of harlequin desigens, pastry pigs and dark golden turkeys. Sounds pretty good right? I also found out from these ladies that the host Gatsby might have killed a man once or more that he was a german spy during war. I also heard during the party that he was a german spy during war. I also heard during the party was that he is an oxford man. Well I’m going to continue going to his parties and anything interesting I’ll let you know.
