Before the movie, all Rupert had done were school plays such as Noah's Arc and Rumplestilkskin. He says that he always wanted to be an actor though, he went to an after-school drama class for two years. He was a big fan of the Harry Potter books, even before the movie. When he heard about auditions for it on a T.v. show he signed up right away. "When I found out I got the part, I was so excited, I nearly fainted." says Rupert. Since "Harry Potter and the Socererers Stone", Rupert has been seen in movies such as "Thunderpants" and then sequel to the first Harry Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."
