First club's workshop this year will be in Nova Gorica. Organized by David and Bojan; so I went there to check out how preparations are going on ... I am kidding. But I visited them, that is true. It was darkening but Bojan show me a habitat of Cotinus coggygria anyway. This species is known by it's red autumn leaves. In winter we can admire what is left over flowering and fruiting.

Prva letošnja klubska delavnica bo v Novi Gorici. Organiziral jo bo primorski dvojec David - Bojan, zato sem šel preverit, kako potekajo priprave ... Ne, sej ne. Obiskal pa sem ju res. Čeprav se je že spuščal mrak, mi je Bojan razkazal obetavno rastišče rujev. Ruj je znan predvsem po svojem škrlatnem jesenskem listju. Pozimi lahko na njem občudujemo ostanke socvetij oz. plodovnice.

Večer se je končall ob pivu in prijetnem klepetu ...

Today I went to explore finding-place of Pinus sylvestris. That place I looked from far away when me and my family went hiking. Oh yes, this is fantastic discovery! There is a lot of Pinus sylvestris - one of the greatest European bonsai species. I'll be back in month or two. There are two great trees waiting for me.

Dopoldne sem šel raziskat rastišče rdečega bora, ki sem ga od daleč opazoval, ko smo se z družino odpravili v hribe. O ja, fantastično odkritje! Rdečih borov v izobilju, na rastišče vrste, ki je med najimenitnejšimi evropskimi bonsajskimi vrstami, se vrnem že čez mesec ali dva. Tam me čakata vsaj dva vrhunska primerka.

But it was solemn atmosphere. With mist around the trees and unreal light, and then I saw a mighti red Pine, one of the biggest I ever saw in the nature. Even if I wouldn't find any yamadori, It would be perfect day! 

Ampak vzdušje je bilo svečano. Z meglico, ki je ovijala drevesa, nadzemeljsko svetlobo, potem pa še pogled na mogočen rdeč bor, eden mogočnejših, kar sem jih kadarkoli videl v naravi. Tudi če ne bi našel niti enega uporabnega jamadorija, bi bil dan izpolnjen!
