This was a great weekend! With some of my friends I visited one of the most prestigious exhibition in Europe - Noelanders Trophy in Belgium. You can read my impressions here (sorry, only in Slovene). I really enjoyed this three days. Endless debates about trees, exchanging experiences, meeting new friends ... Trees quality was outstanding. But interesting thing is, that I was attracted by a tree with no award. This was Chamaecyparis by Simon Temblett.

Za mano je čudovit konec tedna. V družbi prijateljev sem obiskal eno najprestižnejših razstav v Evropi - Noelanders trophy v Belgiji. Moje vtise si lahko preberete na tule . Sicer pa sem te tri dni zares užival. Neskončne debate o drevesih, izmenjava izkušenj, spoznavanje novih prijateljev ... O kvaliteti dreves na razstavi ni potrebno izgubljati besed. Zanimivo pa je, da sem se sam največkrat ustavil ob bonsaju, ki ni pobral nobene nagrade - gre za grahasto pacipreso Simona Tembletta.

From the ordinary nursery material, which I use a lot for a training, Simon created an art form. Great shari and outstanding nebari. Even pot is his work. Perfect creation. I was lucky that I chatted a little about this tree with Tony Tickle. Interesting is that he share this filings too. Tony - hello to north of the Island! 

Iz navadnega materijala iz drevesnice na katerem tudi sam veliko treniram, je Simon ustvaril umetnino. Enostavno pritegne. Izjemen suh les in še izjemnejši nebari. Tudi posodo je Simon izdelal sam. Popolna stvaritev. Imel sem srečo, da sem lahko o drevesu nekoliko podebatiral tudi s Tonyjem Ticklom. Zanimivo, tudi on je imel podobne občutke. Tony, pozdrav na sever otoka!

P.S.: It is not nessesary to be an tighten artist if you want to be a great bonsaist. Kevin Willson is proof for that ...
