After a period of unevent--during a period of relaxation--X redesigned himself. Originally, he was a self-animated humanoid machine designed for extreme combat. This was a lot of unnessisary power and bulk. X was more of a tank then a person, which was inconvenient during the 90% of his time that is not spent in combat... |
Flight wasn't a nessisary ability since X has a air/space craft. His force-field generating thrusters were removed from his feet. |
The third eye, though useful in the dark, was a weakness, and forced X to be restrained by his helmet almost constantly. (Plus it looked wierd when he was skinny-dipping). It was removed, as were his audial sensors--enhanced hearing wasn't really helping him much.
Since it was now stripped of equipment, X discarded his helmet. |
The powered armor that protected X's legs were far too bulky in a non-combat situation, and weren't vital outside of extreme terrain and battle conditions. |
Now that it didn't look good alone, X went ahead and threw out his water-proof, anti-shell ballistic chest armor made of Titanium-X alloy and ceramic elements.
...This was not a good strategic descision by X, but he figured virtual-invincibility wasn't worth wearing sweaty combat armor 24/7. (He decided not to throw it away just in case.) |

When X was finished re-designing his combat systems, what was left was far different from a traditional Reploid... |

From "X", his name became "Shhiroid X", though he goes by "Swift". |
