A Crazy Evening For Two.

This was one crazy evening! The two of us, i.e.: Super Thengkar Alan The Turbo Snail and Super Nuikar Faz the Slow, decided to ride two rides back to back.

First was the Bukit Gambir ride and second was the Kotrts Bukit Jambul -Coastal Road Nite ride.

I met Alan at the Vistana car park at 6pm. We are joined the Nuikar Sixty Niners for the Bukit Gambir. A little while later, Richard and Andy joined us followed by Lawlee. We had two new members for the day. One was riding a full sus wheeler and the other was a guest from Nibong Tebal who is entering for the weekend race (Sorryla forgot your names due to ride pressure).

We rode from Vistana to Bukit Gambir and started the trail slowly. It was mostly 2-4 or 5 combinations. The trail was dry. Slowly one by one overtook me. The ride up to the plateau was about 3km. The last time I did this trail, I was suffering from a bad flu and my breathing was very shallow. However after giving up smoking since a month ago, my breathing was better though the flu didn't really go away. The ride was easy until we reached the roller coaster. From there it was getting a lil' bit worse.

We reached the top at about 7.03pm and rested for a while.

Someone had opened a hut where cooked water is available and you can do a little bit of washing. There is also a contribution box, its up to you to donate.

We started down at about 7.10pm. Now, this is where the fun starts. Alan started down the ridge and I followed. We went down the slope slowly initially, but then the temptation was a little bit too much. We were soon practically flying down the slope, hit the roller coaster and then down the rest of the hill at terrifying speed. We reached Vistana carpark at 7.35pm.

We rested for a drink at Kayu, and waited for the KOTRTs to arrive. At about 8.00pm, some of the KOTRTs arrived and the other Nuikars bid farewell.

Azmi and the gang arrived. Some riders couldn't make it, apparently they are too tired from last Sunday's ride. There were altogether seven riders for the nite ride inclusive Alan and I.

We soon pushed off and made towards Bukit Jambul. Once we hit Bukit Jambul, I could feel that its gonna be a big mistake, doing a back to back ride. I could feel the soreness of the first ride. However, coming down Bukit Jambul was clocked at 64km/hr.

We took the normal route and went pass Relau, Sg. Ara, Bayan Lepas and into Jalan Permatang Damar Laut. All this while it Tan or Alan right out in front. At Permatang damar laut, I overtook the pack but soon succumbed to the toll of the early ride. Azmi came by my side and was talking about the beautiful full moon, and I was trying to ignore him, I was tired.

We regrouped at the Bayan Lepas Traffic Lights and the Batu Maung Traffic Lights. We had a 15 minutes break at the Seagate Food Court. Azmi paid for the drinks and the Ice Kacang. The Ice Kacang was wonderful. We then started back to Vistana via N-Park. We finished the ride at about 10.20pm, and I was the last to arrive.

This was a really fun ride and I wanted to see how far I could go. Alan and I covered 52.6 km that nite. The fastest speed was 64km, with an average speed of 18km/h (for me). Come to think of it, not bad for a nite's ride. Wanna join me next time? Let's do a three back to back ride the next time? I can imagine my tongue hanging out like Rin Tin Tin.
