Not much is known about Westley's past. When he was thirteen, Westley woke up in an old, abandoned neighborhood in London. He barely remembers his childhood, let alone how he ended up in London. He spent seven months of his life wandering the streets and stealing to survive. After he was caught for the third time, he was sent to a boy's home. There, he started smoking and made many enemies partially because of his snarky attitude and weird dress. Westley spent most of his time in the library where he read anything and everything about science. By the age of fifteen, Westley had completed all of the available high school sciences and began working on college level courses. It is estimated that his IQ is between 120 and 140. At the same time, Westley met Boris, a new student at the boy's home, and the two quickly became friends. Westley, the more out going of the two, would often convince Boris to help him with pranks on the "rich kids". When Westley and Boris turned eighteen, they left the home. Westley attended university, earning a degree in physics. Shortly after, the two moved to The City.
