Boris was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, to Alina and Gregor Denisov. Shortly after, the family moved to London where Gregor owned a large telecommunications business. Alina and Gregor had another son named Alexi. When Boris was eight, he and his mother and brother travelled to France where the trio was in a car accident. Alina and Alexi did not survive. Heart broken, Gregor became crazed and drank often. In his drunken rages, he would beat Boris, blaming the young boy for the death of his wife. Boris lost sight in his left eye during a confrontation with his father. At the age of fifteen, Boris was sent to a boy's home in London after his father had a psychotic break and slipped into a coma. There, Boris developed a talent for hacking into computers undetected. He would often change the grades and information of those who bullied him, but moved onto more advanced things later. It was at the home, that Boris met Westley Murdoc. Boris had never had any close friends, but Westley soon became the only friend he had. The two left the home when they were eighteen. Boris attended university where he received a degree in linguistics and communications. Shortly after, he and Westley moved to The City.
