Jungle Jim (And the groovy disco bus)

The Grateful Dead have always been a big part of my life and still are today. The memories and good times that I had at Dead shows will last a lifetime. This polish dude (I forgot his name) that was jamming with us came up with this jazzy tune, after he left, we borrowed it from him. It had a nice flow and made me want to get down and groove. It made me think of a Grateful Dead show I was at with Jungle Jim, a good friend of ours. That night we were all flying high on acid. In the middle of the parking lot was this bus painted in tye dye with strobe lights flashing and a DJ playing blazing disco music. We danced, laughed and had a great time and then it was over. From that day on we called it The Groovy Disco Bus. So I decided to write a song about it.

Jungle Jim & the Groovy Disco Bus

The tye - dyed circus is on the way.
Here comes sunshine for another day.
Lets get ready for a magical ride.
Anticipation is high in the air.
Living free without a care.
Brothers and sisters come together as one.
The disco bus is doing the town.
The flashing lights are spinning around.
Jungle Jim is doing the car wash again.

CHORUS:
Those days are all gone.
I said its all over now.
I guess Im going to try and make it some how.
Fare you well my brother.
My words cannot say.
I miss the sunshine daydreams and hearing you play.

Chim Cham is flying so high.
On his boat, into the sky.
Steal your face right off your head.
Like I told you what I said,
Embrace the music of the Grateful Dead.
The show, is about to begin.
