Dodge Dakota
I've had my truck for going on 3 years now and it's undergone many changes. In the last 3 years, although paying for it, I've been able to do a few modifications here and there. I think the main reason I do it is to make it different. And so far I haven't seen a truck that look the same. I guess that's a good thing.
Lets start with some before pictures.
Then comes the pictures about a year later. This was after I had added the 17" R/T wheels. Also, I switched out the front corner lights for clear ones. In the rear I added the Flowmaster with dual tips. That's about it for the exterior.....for now.
In early 2003, we had some sleet and snow one Sunday morning. Silly me tried to make it to work anyways. What a mistake. I got only about 3 miles from my house and went through a fence on the side of a road. Insurance came in handy then and I decided to change things up a little bit. First I got rid of the grey paint on the bottom and got rid of the chrome bumpers and grille. Here's a picture after the new paint job and roll pan installed.
A few months went by and it was time for another modification. I decided to lower the truck because the wheel gap was hideous. I did the research, bought all the parts and did the job myself. My cousin let me borrow his lift so this made the job easier and I saved hundreds of dollars by doing it myself. Here is the truck lowered 3 inches in the front and 5 inches in the back. New shocks were put in and also a C-Notch installed.
Next, I needed something to help out the front end. I installed the Street Scene grille in the fall. I got the uppers and lower sections for a really good price. This really helps the overall look of the truck I think.
