James walked through the woods alone. Jessie was called on a meeting, and James wasn't allowed to come. James was feeling really bad about all this, and to top it off someone just knocked him down and just continued running. 'What was that?' thought James. That's when he saw the person running had short orange hair. "Hey that must be that red headed twerp. I wonder what's wrong with her." James quickly ran up to her, and kindly turned her around so she was facing him. Misty had tears going down her face, and looked so sad. "Hey what's wrong twerp?" he asked in a gental voice. To his suprise Misty just wrapped her arms around him, and sofly cryed on his shirt. James ran his fingers through her hair, not sure of what was wrong. Finally Misty spoke, still crying. "I'm ssorry." "That's okay. What got you so sad twerp?" "I......ttold Ash I lloved hhim, and he said he jjust liked mme as a ffriend" Misty said starting to cry again. 'Poor girl, I know just how she feels. Jessie told me the same thing when I told her how I felt' thought James. "I know it hurts now, but it will all go away soon. It's better than if he said he never wants to see you again. It's not the end of the world twerp." "Yes it is!!! If I can't have Ash it is the end of the world!" With that Misty ran off again, leaving him in total shock. "If only you knew twerp, if only you knew" then James walked away. ********************************************************************************* Two days later..............
Misty stared at the stars from her sleeping bag. She was still with Ash and Brock. Everything was like it was before, like Misty never told Ash how she felt. Misty was over Ash, after she figured out it wasn't love.....just a crush.
Misty had something new to worry about.....where was James? She hasn't seen him in two days, and never got to thank him. "Where are you James?" "I'm right here." Misty jumped out off her sleeping bag at the sound of his voice. "James, how did you find me?" "Easy. It was like tracking down a bunch of twerps" James said with a smile. "James, I never got to thank you. You were right it wasn't the end of the world." All James did was smile. Then Misty asked a question. "I know this is going to sound stupid, but why did you help me? I thought you hated me." "First of all I never hated you, that would be impossable. I helped you because after following you twerps around for so long, I learned to care for you."
Misty started to blush, but didn't know why. The next thing she knew her lips were pressed against his. Misty didn't pull away, and James didn't eathier. Finally when they pulled apart James spoke. "Crap, I think I'm in love with a twerp." "And, I think I'm in love with our so called enemy." They both smiled,and soon kissed again. Then James whispered in Misty's ear. "I don't think I love you, I know I do."
